We can’t recall any of King Lear's daughters wearing denim hotpants, but why should that stop Jessica Simpson fulfilling her dream to do Shakespeare? Right? The peroxide flesh-flasher, who has had her first taste of full-length film acting in the far from highbrow The Dukes Of Hazzard, feels she's ready for the next step on the ladder - a Shakespearean role. Think you might have missed a few rungs there, Jess. "When I arrived in England the first thing I did was go straight to the Globe Theatre," she tells the Daily Express. "For me that is the home of acting and writing. "I have always loved Shakespeare," adds the starlet who famously announced on her Newlyweds reality show that she thought tuna was a kind of chicken. "That's the job I want next - anything at the Globe." Peanut seller, perhaps?
