Jessica Simpson's Mom Photo Fury |
Jessica
Simpson's mum reportedly stopped her from posing for a racy
photo shoot to maintain her girl next door image.
The singer-turned-actress, who is now divorced from
ex-husband Nick Lachey, recently posed for America's OK!
magazine but her mum was unhappy with the publication's
plans for the shoot.
Jessica's father and manager Joe Simpson was happy with the
idea of Jessica lying on a bed in her underwear while a male
model buttoned his shirt on the bed behind her. But mum Tina
thought it projected a bad image of her 26-year-old
daughter.
A source at the shoot claims Tina was shouting: "Time out!
Hold it. Nope, this isn't going to work."
The source added to OK! magazine: "Tina dug in her heels and
said there was no way she'd allow Jess to appear in the
layout the way it was designed. She said the pose was too
risque and made Jessica look slutty. Joe was perplexed."
Jessica's parents had a heated discussion about the photo
shoot, with Tina allegedly telling her husband: "Trust me,
I'm her mother. This isn't the image we want."

Jessica Simpson to Be First Guest for O'Donnell's ‘View’
Debut |
Pop singer and
former "Newlyweds" star Jessica Simpson will be one of Rosie
O'Donnell's first guests when she begins as co-host of "The
View" in New York, People reported.
The two performers have a long history together from the
time when Simpson was first starting out.
"Rosie took a chance on her and Jessica never forgot it," a
source said regarding Simpson's appearance on "The Rosie
O'Donnell Show" several years ago.
O'Donnell not only gave Simpson a break, but also
encouragement, the source told People. "Rosie went backstage
afterwards and said, 'You're gonna be a star.'"
"The Rosie O'Donnell Show" aired in syndication from 1996 to
2002.
O'Donnell begins her new assignment on ABC's "The View,"
replacing former co-host Meredith Vieira, Sept. 5.
Vieira is replacing Katie Couric on NBC's "Today" show.

Jessica Simpson will have her "perky and cute" breasts
surgically enhanced if they ever start to sag.
The buxom Sweetest Sin star refuses to rule out having a
breast reduction as she contemplates the effect pregnancy
could have on her curves.
She says, "If I have kids, and they're hanging to my waist,
that's when I might start to think about having something
done to them. Right now, they're perky and cute!"

Did Jessica Simpson's Dad Have Nick Lachey Watched? |
A rep for
Jessica Simpson has denied reports that her father Joe had
her now ex hubby Nick Lachey watched during the seventh
month separation period leading up to the couple’s divorce.
An insider revealed that the protective dad was particularly
curious about what Lachey was up to when he, his now
girlfriend Vanessa Minnillo, and Jessica's friend and former
assistant CaCee Cobb were all in the same nightclub.
The source disclosed that Joe Simpson had called the
nightclub asking to se the security tape, and when the club
refused, had threatened them that they would never see his
daughter step foot in their doors again.
"Joe called the club people after hearing Nick was there and
demanded to see the security videotape. Joe was looking to
incriminate Nick. He told the club, 'If you ever want to see
my daughter there, you'll give me what I want,'" the New
York Daily News quoted the insider, as saying.
Simpson’s rep has denied the claims as “preposterous”.

Jessica Simpson Exits Before Ashlee Sings |
Pop starlet
Jessica Simpson missed Ashlee's performance in New York
after earlier saying how excited she was to see her younger
sister perform.
The reason for the older Simpson's absence may have been
because ex-husband Nick Lachey's new girlfriend Vanessa
Minnillo was planning to swing by the party at Manhattan's
Pier 54 for the launching of Victoria Secret's Pink line,
TMZ.com reported Friday.
Ashlee gave a hype performance, with Jessica bailing out at
the last minute, claiming that she "didn't want to steal
Ashlee's spotlight."
Minnillo also decided against going to the show at the last
minute, TMZ said.
The two avoided each other earlier this week when Jessica
was on TRL, which Minnillo co-hosts, when Minnillo was given
the day off.

JESSICA SIMPSON appeared on MTV's TRL Wednesday (19JUL06) to
debut her new music video A PUBLIC AFFAIR, but ex-husband
NICK LACHEY's new girlfriend VANESSA MINNILLO was noticeably
absent. Producers of the show made sure Minnillo wasn't
hosting when Simpson appeared in order to avoid an awkward
encounter. Simpson still appeared uncomfortable and
repeatedly messed up her lines while reading from the
teleprompter and stumbled over words. After flubbing the
show's email address, she blurted out to her MTV co-host,
"Oh, my Lord! Tell me to breathe! Will you tell me to
breathe?' before apologising to the audience saying, "I'm
sorry! I'm so nervous! I don't know why I'm so nervous!"
During the next segment, Simpson was asked if she would be
willing to answer questions from the audience and she
replied gratefully, "I would love that! It's better than
reading a teleprompter!" After attempting to read the
teleprompter one last time, an exasperated Simpson blurted
out, "Oh, my God! I'm horrible at this! That's why I sing I
guess!" The star had much better luck when she showed the
audience the best ways to pose for the paparazzi and shared
her favourite video clips, which included BRITNEY SPEARS'

HOUSE OF CARTERS. Outspoken Aaron revealed, "He had the

is planning her first ‘Boob Job’, and has already decided in
principle in favour of cosmetic surgery that she might have
to undergo after she becomes a mom.

absolutely happy with her full and perky bust size, she is
worried that they might not remain this perfect after she
has a kid.

Jessica Simpson To Host Teen Choice Awards |
Jessica
Simpson's schedule is getting even busier now that she's
co-hosting the Teen Choice awards.
The eighth annual special will air live Aug. 20 on Fox and
Global. Her co-host will be announced at a later date, Fox
said Tuesday.
At Teen Choice 2006, Simpson is nominated for choice movie
breakout performance for her role as Daisy Duke in The Dukes
of Hazzard, choice red carpet fashion icon and choice hottie.
In the youth-centric ceremony, teen-friendly stars of film,
television, music, sports and fashion win surfboard awards.
Voters can cast their ballots until Aug. 11 on the Web.
Simpson, 26, stars in the comedy Employee of the Month,
which opens Sept. 15. Her new album, A Public Affair, debuts
Aug. 29.
She and Nick Lachey, who co-starred in the MTV reality show
Newlyweds: Nick & Jessica, recently divorced after three
years of marriage.

plans to drop her new album A Public Affair on August 29th.
The recently divorced singer, who just turned 26 yesterday,
has also just spoken out about her love life. Simpson told
OK Weekly she doesn't feel right about dating yet,
confirming that she hasn't dated anyone since her split with
Nick Lachey.
