Ashlee Says She's Prettier Than Jessica |
Singer and
reality TV star Ashlee Simpson has claimed that she is more
attractive than her older sister, Dukes of Hazard star
Jessica.
Ashlee, 22, told Scotland's Daily Record, "I'm taller than
she is and my legs are longer than hers...I got lucky
because my chest size isn't completely massive."
Previously she has denied any sibling rivalry between the
pair, claiming she is actually very protective of her older
sister. "When I read somebody saying something about
Jessica, I just want to kick them," quotes FemaleFirst.
Jessica, 25, is currently going through a painful divorce
from husband Nick Lachey, after chronicling the first three
years of their marriage in MTV series Newlyweds.

Jessica Simpson 'Devasted By Nick's Tell Tales' |
Jessica Simpson
has been left "devastated" by her estranged husband's
decision to tell the world about their failed relationship.
Nick Lachey recently told a US magazine that he felt
"blindsided" and "sucker punched" by the split.
After she told him she was filing for divorce last December.
Friends of the singer-turned-actress told America's People
magazine: "She was devastated, heartbroken.
"She didn't think he would do that."
Insiders claim what upset her most of all was the timing of
his decision to kiss-and-tell.
They revealed: "Nick waited until two weeks before for his
new album, 'What' s Left Of Me', to debut to tell a reporter
that he loved Jessica. That's not cool.
"He keeps saying, 'I'm sorry I couldn't make her happy,' but
he is not choosing to say why."
Lachey recently revealed he wished he had walked in on
estranged wife Jessica Simpson in bed with another man -
because it would have made their split easier.
He said: "That would be clear-cut. End of story. I wouldn't
have to deal with the uncertainty of adultery."
The couple, who shot to fame on MTV show 'Newlyweds', also
criticised the series for coming between him and Jessica -
who he claims performed for the cameras.
He revealed: "It became a really blurred line. There was a
question about what truly was our reality."

Former Baywatch
star Pamela Anderson is excited by reports Jessica Simpson
has been chosen to takeover her role as C.J. Parker in the
forthcoming movie version of the defunct TV show.
The pneumatic blonde is a huge fan of the Dukes of Hazzard
actress and suggests funnyman Will Ferrell takes David
Hasselhoff's role as muscle-bound boss Mitch.
Anderson says, "Oh, my goodness, she sure could. Will
Ferrell should play David Hasselhoff. That would be hot."

Jessica Simpson
has been seen wearing her wedding ring again - on a chain
around her neck.
The blonde actress surprised Hollywood gossips by wearing
the platinum wedding band originally given to her by her now
ex-husband Nick Lachey during her holiday in Australia last
week.
This marks the first time that Simpson has been seen out
with the wedding band since her break-up with Lachey last
November, and has prompted rumours that he is once again
close to her heart.
The ring now shares a space with a cross - given as a
present by her parents - that Simpson habitually wears.
A friend told American magazine In Touch: "She wants to keep
all her memories close to her heart."

Nick Lachey Says Jessica Simpson Divorce Was Surprise |
Nick Lachey
tells the upcoming issue of Rolling Stone magazine he did
not know his marriage to Jessica Simpson was over until he
was told.
Excerpts from the interview, printed in Wednesday's USA
Today, included Lachey saying: "I'll tell you how I knew my
marriage was over: I was told."
He went on to say the couple grew so accustomed to their
roles on the MTV reality show "Newlyweds," they began
"playing these parts even when we were by ourselves."
"It became a really blurred line," he said. "There was a
question about what truly was our reality."
Lachey said he did not know whether his wife cheated on him
with other men, but if she did, "it was the result of
something bigger."
"Sometimes I think it would be easier if I had just walked
in the house and found her in bed with a guy," he said.
"That would be clear-cut. End of story. I wouldn't have to
deal with the uncertainty of adultery."

And Simpson Fighting Over 'Dallas' Role? |
Hollywood's
latest high-profile catfight has reportedly spilled into the
movies as Lindsay Lohan and Jessica Simpson scrap for a
leading role in the Dallas movie.
The two actresses allegedly fought in a Hollywood bar last
week after Simpson failed to thank Lohan for buying her a
friendly drink.
And now it looks like the pair will battle it out again over
the role of Lucy Ewing in Dallas.
It seems Lohan has the upper hand because the original
Ewing, Charlene Tilton, has expressed interest in the
actress taking over the role.
In an interview last month, Tilton said, "Jessica is
beautiful but too old. I had just turned 17 when we started
filming. It's more exciting if Lucy is doing all these
things... out of high school. (Lindsay Lohan) is a great
choice."

having sex with another man - as it would have made the
demise of their ill-fated marriage more final. The couple
split five months ago (NOV05) and the actor is still sorting
out what exactly went wrong in their relationship. He tells
Rolling Stone magazine, "I don't know if there were other
men. But if she did cheat, it was the result of something
bigger, not the reason we didn't work. "Sometimes I think it
would be easier if I had just walked in the house and found

insisted on top photographer JAMES WHITE capturing her for
the upcoming cover shot for men's magazine Maxim, because
she wanted to look like her modern idol JENNIFER LOPEZ.
Simpson reportedly loved the way White made Lopez look in a
October 2003 Esquire magazine spread pictorial, and wants
the same style. The pop star posed for White in Los Angeles
on Tuesday (18APR06), according to American publication Life

Lohan Turns Mean Girls As Simpson Forgets Her Manners |
Lindsay
Lohan and Jessica Simpson have sparked a new Hollywood feud
after falling out in a Los Angeles nightclub.
The pair reportedly had a nasty run-in at Los Angeles' Dime
club last week after Simpson failed to thank Lohan for a
champagne gift.
According to Us Weekly, Lohan sent Simpson a round of drinks
and then confronted the busty blonde when she failed to say
thanks, making the Newlyweds star cry.
Filmmaker Brett Ratner, a fellow clubber, stepped into the
fracas and tried to calm Mean Girls star Lohan down, and
convinced her to go back to her table.
Ratner has links to both girls--he directed Simpson's “These
Boots (Are Made for Walkin')” video and has reportedly
quietly started dating Lohan, 19.
Lohan eventually returned to her group of friends and
Simpson left shortly after the incident and flew to
Australia the next day for a family vacation.

Aspiring
rapper Kevin Federline insists his marriage to Britney
Spears will never end in divorce like Nick Lachey and
Jessica Simpson's relationship.
Federline believes the former Newlyweds: Nick + Jessica
stars didn't work hard enough to keep their relationship
together.
He explains, "My situation is different. I ain't gettin' no
divorce. F**k that!
"I don't believe in that s**t. Once you get married, you're
in it for the fight."
The former back-up dancer believes Lachey is entitled to
multi-million dollar alimony payments from his estranged
wife - because the couple became even more famous while they
were married.
He explains, "They did their whole thing together. They
really blew up together on that (reality) show. They deserve
whatever they get."

She said that if given a chance she would have voted for
“Desperate Housewives” actress Eva Longorai. She feels that
Longorai is gorgeous.
“I’m truly honored. Personally, I would have voted for Eva

Simpson Sisters 'Not High Maintenance' |
Celebrity
hair stylist Ken Paves says it will take him less than 30
minutes to do Jessica and Ashlee Simpson's hair for the MTV
Australian Video Music Awards.
And he promises, they will look "beautiful".
"I know the girls so well that I am really fast," said
Paves, who has worked with the Simpson sisters for eight
years.
"Honestly, I can get the girls hair ready in less than a
half hour and they're so beautiful, they're not high
maintenance divas."
Ashlee and Jessica are the big name special guests of the
AVMAs with the younger sister taking on hosting duties.
The event will be held at the Sydney SuperDome on Wednesday
night and Paves and make-up artist Mary Phillips have
travelled to Australia with the Simpsons to make sure they
look their best at the event.
Paves and Phillips other celebrity clients include Oprah
Winfrey, Eva Longoria, Jennifer Lopez, Brittany Murphy,
Jessica Alba and Avril Lavigne.
"These are important moments," said Paves.
"The fans look forward to them looking good. It is part of
their job."
Phillips said that while the girls looked similar, their
styling required a totally different approach.
"Ashlee is more rock and likes a harder, smokey eye," said
Phillips.
"Jessica is the modern day Brigitte Bardot and Ashlee is
like the modern day Deborah Harry."
For Ashlee Simpson herself, she says she likes to mix up her
look.
"I have a hair stylist and a make-up artist but it is always
kind of the mood that I am feeling," she said.
"I like to change quite a bit. I got a great team."

Jessica Simpson In Sydney For Awards |
American
entertainer Jessica Simpson has arrived in Australia as a
last minute guest for this week's MTV Australian Video Music
Awards.
The singer/actress, whose sister Ashlee Simpson is hosting
the event in Sydney on Wednesday night, arrived on an early
morning Qantas flight from Los Angeles.
She was ushered through a VIP customs exit, greeted by
around a dozen photographers and television camera crews.
"I'm so excited. It's been so long since I've been here,"
the 25-year-old said.
Organisers would not say what role Simpson would have in the
MTV event, which will be held at Sydney's Olympic Park on
Wednesday.
But the starlet, who was wearing a white jacket, ripped
jeans and brown cowboy boots, said she was looking forward
to seeing her sister.
"I can't wait to see her."
Simpson is best known for her starring turn in the movie The
Dukes of Hazzard, as well as reality TV show Newlyweds, in
which she and her now estranged husband, Nick Lachey, were
followed around by a television crew.

Jeans Maker Sues Jessica Simpson For $100 Million |
Singer/actress Jessica Simpson is being sued for $100
million in New York by a jeans maker that claims she snubbed
its low-price product.
The breach of contract suit filed by the Tarrant Apparel
Group says Simpson signed a 3-year deal in 2004 to promote
and wear its JS by Jessica Simpson and Princy clothing
lines, then "simply failed to provide the promised support,"
The Smoking Gun reports on its Web site.
The suit also charges Simpson was quoted in the media last
year saying her favorite jeans were the $350 True Religion
brand and she never mentioned the $60 Princy jeans, which
bear the nickname her father gave her, The Smoking Gun said.
Tarrant says it has paid $2.2 million in licensing fees and
is still liable for $6 million in additional guaranteed
payments.

sex symbol Jessica Simpson is all set to star in the big
screen version of the beach TV show Baywatch, according to
reports.
The singer will don the infamous red swimsuit, previously
worn by actress Pamela Anderson as the character CJ Parker
in the popular lifeguard series.
Simpson, who is also in the headlines for a recent divorce,
caught the eye of producers after her role in last summer's
hit The Dukes Of Hazzard.
Producers hope David Hasselhoff will also agree to star in
the film in his original role as Mitch Buchannon.

Jessica Simpson May Do Dallas |
Singer
Jessica Simpson has admitted that she may portray sexy
troublemaker Lucy Ewing of TV soap Dallas, in the movie
version of the famous programme.
Simpson is in negotiations with the movie’s producers, and
although she hasn’t won the role yet, she is pretty hopeful
that hailing from Texas certainly lets her have an edge over
the others to bag the prestigious role.
“That would be an honour for me. I’m a Texas girl, so you
can’t go wrong there,” Ratethemusic quoted her, as telling
MTV.
“However it all works out, I’m just kind of going with the
flow. One day at a time,” she added.
