'Hazzardous' Rumour |
Jessica Simpson has
finally had enough about the reports her marriage is
on the rocks.
The singer has been plagued for weeks by rumours and
innuendo that she had an affair with Johnny
Knoxville on the set of The Dukes Of Hazzard movie.
She and husband Nick Lachey laughed off the rumours.
But the final straw came when E! Online announced
she had filed for divorce.
The couple threatened to sue and the story was
retracted within an hour.
The American press has been filled with stories
about the couple's marriage only continuing for
business reasons, but the pair are keen to stress
they are still very much in love.
Simpson spoke to Us Weekly magazine regarding the
story, saying: "It is completely false and we would
sue them if they didn't take it down."
The Simpson/Knoxville chemistry will be up for
general appraisal when the Hazzard movie comes out
in August.
Knoxville takes the part of Luke Duke in the film,
with Simpson playing cousin Daisy.
