E! Apologises For Simpson / Lachey Divorce Report

US entertainment company E! has issued an apology to Jessica Simpson after it falsely reported she had filed for divorce from husband Nick Lachey. E! online set the gossip world abuzz with the report claiming the stars of TV's 'Newlyweds' had filed for divorce citing "irreconcilable differences". However, within an hour, the website retracted the report and issued an apology. The popstar, who has been married to Nick Lachey for two and a half years, was photographed leaving a Hollywood recording studio on Tuesday night clearly sticking her wedding ring finger in the air for photographers. Meanwhile a former star of TV show 'Jackass' was forced to deny he was dating her after his parents made the claim to a US radio station.
