Simpson Slams Divorce Reports

Jessica Simpson has hit out at false reports that she filed for divorce from her husband Nick Lachey Tuesday. The singer, whose two-and-a-half-year marriage to Lachey has been plagued with speculation and rumors, was furious when she learned that she'd apparently decided to ditch her beau. An E! Online report that leaked onto the Internet Tuesday afternoon sent celebrity watchers worldwide abuzz with talk of the reality TV couple's apparent split. But within an hour E! had retracted the erroneous leaked report. Simpson tells Us Weekly, "It is completely false and we would sue them if they hadn't taken it down." The singer has a special message to those spreading false rumors about the state of her marriage: "Karma, baby!"
